Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the Indian Army JAG 124th course, candidates must fulfill the following requirements as of July 1, 2026:
1. Educational Qualification
- LLB Degree: Candidates must possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Law (either a 3-year professional course after graduation or a 5-year integrated course after 10+2) with a minimum of 55% aggregate marks.
- Bar Council Registration: You must be eligible for registration as an advocate with the Bar Council of India or a State Bar Council.
- CLAT PG Score: It is mandatory to have appeared in the CLAT PG 2025 exam. Your application will be shortlisted based on these scores.
2. Age Limit
- Minimum Age: 21 years
- Maximum Age: 27 years
- Date of Birth Range: Born between July 2, 1999, and July 1, 2005 (both dates inclusive).

Selection Process
The selection for the JAG entry is rigorous and designed to test both your legal acumen and officer-like qualities (OLQs).

Training and Benefits
Selected candidates will undergo 49 weeks of training at the Officers Training Academy (OTA), Chennai.
- Rank on Commission: Lieutenant.
- Stipend: During the training period, cadets receive a stipend of ₹56,100 per month.
- Promotion: Career progression starts from Lieutenant and moves to Captain (after 2 years), Major (after 6 years), and Lt. Colonel (after 13 years).
